    NOMADS’ friends, we encourage you to come to the beautiful Northwest this summer! We have three new projects in Washington state—3 small Methodist churches south of Olympia—in Pe Ell, McCleary, and Tumwater-- who are excited about hosting their first NOMADS’ project. The value of your donated hours through NOMADS or through other volunteer efforts is given a specific value each year, and it has been announced by the company 'Independent Sector' that the value of these hours for 2010 is $21.36.  This compares with $20.85 per hour in 2009.  NOMADS had quite an impact in 2010, with the value of their donated hours in excess of 2.3 million dollars.  Thank you NOMADS, for your dedication and service to those in need.

The NOMADS have been blessed by the Lord in many ways, but we thought that this one was pretty special.....on March 3rd, 2011, the City of Eustis, Florida proclaimed that day as NOMADS Appreciation Day.  We are sending the official decreet to the NOMADS office for display there.  All of the NOMADS who have worked these projects, whether it be under the jurisdiction of Hearts and Hands Ministries or for Glover Street Ministries, can rest assured that the people of this area of Florida see what ...

NOMADS members, please log in to see the new info sheet about our Fall 2011 Annual Meeting to be held in Forest City, Iowa.  It's the document listed under the heading "Recent News for Members".

If you are a member of NOMADS, please log in to the member's area and enter your work skills for us.  In the past you filled out a paper version and then we scanned it in so it could be emailed to your team leaders each time you sign up to work a project.  Now that we have this fantastic new website, we want your skills entered and kept up to date electronically, by you.  We have not typed in your old ones from your skill sheet....we want you to enter your current skills as of right now.  ...

If you'd like to host NOMADS in the first half of 2012, please apply by March 31st by clicking on REQUEST HELP and following the instructions.  New Host Agencies, to qualify, must be United Methodist or have an Advance number which allows for donations through the General Board of Global Ministries. For existing Host Agencies, the process for reapplication that is now online is much simpler than in the past.  Please email or call the NOMADS office if you need assistance.
